Letter from the 2016-21 公平与包容主任
在这里的11年里, I have seen tremendous growth: the student body and faculty have grown considerably, 白宫西翼已经没有了, and we have two new buildings and a parking deck. But the growth I am most proud of is in diversity, 股本, and 包容. 多年来, our campus has become more diverse in its racial, 少数民族, 宗教, and national origin composition as well as other measures. However, while we have certainly come a long way, there is still a long way to go.

It’s hard to believe that my time at 波胆网站 has come to an end, as I begin my role as Assistant 校长 for 课程 and Community at Castilleja School, an independent school for girls and young women grades 6-12 in Palo Alto, 加州. It has been a great honor to serve the PD community that has given me so much both as a faculty member and as the 公平与包容主任. I look forward to witnessing the leadership of 泰隆琼, 谁成为衡平法署署长, 包容, 2021年7月. The leadership of PD is looking forward to making this report a recurring annual tradition. I’m confident the stories he will tell in this space will show continued growth, and I wish him and the entire PD community all the best.

What an exciting time to be at 波胆网站! I joined the Charger community in July 2021 and have been impressed by the thoughtful, 有意的, 以及正在进行的与多样性相关的工作, 股本, 和包容(DEI). The multi-prong approach focusing on data and demographics, 课程, 连接, 教师发展, 政策, and 编程 has set the institution on a path for excellence and I am honored to continue and collaboratively advance these efforts. The work outlined in this summary report demonstrates that DEI has been woven into the fabric of PD for over 20 years, making it the leader in the greater 夏洛特 area; yet, 伟大的工作就在前面.
